Lead Audio Visual (A/V) Technician
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for leading an amazing team in system installations through completion in the most efficient and effective manner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance. You will also assist in teaching and training technicians on proper industry standard installations and safety methods.
Job Responsibilities:
- Competently run project in a leadership role, managing assigned personnel while leading the physical installation of the project.
- Strong understanding of audio/video concepts and commonly used components
- Strong understanding of audio/video signal flow and routing
- Ability to safely install projectors, displays, speakers, projection screens, etc.
- Ability to correctly read and interpret AV and Construction schematics
- Ability to perform minor DSP/Control System changes and uploads
- Ability to troubleshoot advanced AV systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to lead a technical team
- The ability to foster strong client relationships
- Excellent communication skills including timely updates to the office daily for efficient workflow
- Ability to inspect all work at the end of a job to ensure scope of work has been followed and all functions of the audio or video system have been tested to spec including full power cycles
- Solid understanding of networking and how it relates to the AV industry
- Familiar with HDbaseT and network compressed video (MPEG4, H.264)
- CTS Certification
- The ability to provide in-depth training on the operation of A/V equipment to customers at the completion of each job
- Ability to create as-built plans and document properly completed tasks on a project
- Work well under pressure meeting project deadline
- Possess a valid driver’s license
Experience:
- Working with audio visual equipment: 5 plus years, leading a project team 1-2 years
- Experience working in construction environments (a big plus)

Audio Visual (AV) Technician
In this role you’ll be part of a team responsible for installing AV equipment in some of the most unique, state of the art and historical facilities throughout New England.
Job Responsibilities:
- Basic understanding of audio/video concepts, terminology, and commonly used components
- Fundamental understanding of audio/video signal flow and routing
- Ability to safely install projectors, displays, speakers, projection screens, etc.
- Basic understanding of required tools and proper use of them for specific tasks
- Fundamental understanding of proper cable needs for specific applications and tasks
- Fundamental understanding of termination methods and procedures for all audio connections (XLR, 3.5MM, RS-232, Speaker and line level, etc.)
- Ability to solder communication terminations
- The ability to mount equipment both on the ground and overhead, extensive ladder work is involved in this job
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Be responsible for a company truck and report any vehicle maintenance issues immediately
- Proficiency working with hand tools and power tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work collaboratively with project team to accomplish scope of work
- Basic understanding of networking and how it relates to the AV industry
- Basic troubleshoot skills of A/V equipment and identifying appropriate solutions
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional image and build good customer relationships
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
Experience:
- If you have 2 years of working experience with audio visual equipment or if you have less experience but possess the core skills and aptitude needed for the position and are willing to learn.
