Our Favorite Gizmos & Trends of InfoComm 2013

Our sales and engineering staff are always on the hunt for the best solutions that will meet our customer's ever evolving needs. Every year we attend the InfoComm A/V trade show where we get to see and play with the the newest and greatest products and technology. Here at Shanahan we like to call them Gizmos. So, this month we bring to you a few highlights of our experience at this years InfoComm show. Without further ado here are Shanahan's Favorite Gizmos of InfoComm 2013.

 

Two new exciting products from Vaddio caught our attention.Vaddio's GroupSTATION and HuddleSTATION are the latest of the company's line of conference systems.  GroupSTATION is for mid-to large-size meeting spaces designed for 10-20 people while the HuddleSTATION is for small meeting spaces designed for 3-4 people. Both systems consist of two main components: a table-based MicPOD dock and a wall-mounted sound bar that incorporates an HD camera in its center. By simply connecting a laptop or tablet into the dock, users are ready to connect, stream and share presentations. We are excited about products that simplify complicated technology for our clients.These stations make daily use of video conferencing a stress and hassle free experience. 

 

We were also impressed by something that is not so much an actual device but is the maturation of HDBaseT.

What is HDBaseT you ask? 

It is a connectivity standard for distribution of uncompressed HD multimedia content. A significant evolution, this technology converges uncompressed full HD digital video, audio,100BaseT Ethernet, power over cable and various control signals through a single LAN cable. This will revolutionize the AV industry!
