Shanahan Sound & Electronics Becomes SOMWBA Certified

Shanahan Sound and Electronics recently became certified by the State Office of Minority and Women Business Assistance (SOMWBA). SOMWBA certification expands the market opportunities of Minority Business Enterprises and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises by certifying their eligibility to participate in affirmative business programs throughout the state of Massachusetts.

“We are very excited to become certified by SOMWBA,” said Catherine Shanahan, President of Shanahan Sound and Electronics. “SOMWBA certification enhances our ability to do business in public markets and gives us increased access to government contracts. It is an important marketing tool that will assist us with the long-term growth of our business.”

Shanahan Sound and Electronics has been in business for over fifty years and has survived significant changes in the consumer electronics and commercial sound industries. Shanahan has installed sound and video systems for a wide variety of clients including Monster.com, City Sports, Cheers, and Trinity Church in Boston.
